Rachael has worked in publishing for over 30 years, receiving a thorough training in production in her first job at Macmillan Education, and utilising this knowledge throughout her career. She has good proof-reading and copy-editing skills, honed by many years’ experience, and is happy to work on hard copy or on screen, and to liaise directly with authors. She understands the needs of publishers with regards to budgets and time constraints. If required, Rachael will provide a project management service, taking books from approved manuscript to printer-ready files. Current clients include John Wiley & Sons Ltd, Praxis Publishing Ltd, and Leckie&Leckie.
She is also Managing Editor for Wilmott Journal, the International Journal of Innovative Quantitative Finance Research – which reflects her flexibility and publishing abilities.
In addition, Rachael is a very able commissioning editor with considerable experience in professional and trade publishing. Consequently, together with her husband, Jim, she has started J&R Press, publishing for researchers, academics and clinicians in speech and language therapy.
